GETTING STARTED WITH WEIGHT LOSS.

Losing weight can be one of the  best things you can do for your physical and emotional health. It can slash your risk of illness, help prevent a cancer diagnosis and improve your self-esteem.  Being overweight or obese is bad for your health, even if you are just slightly overweight. It is a major risk factor for heart diseases and stroke and it is linked to a higher incidence of diabetes, which you are twice as likely to develop than a person of normal weight. Being overweight is associated with several types of cancers, gout, gall bladder and other diseases.

Losing as little as 5 -10 % of your body weight and maintaining that loss can significantly improve your health by increasing glucose tolerance and lowering blood pressure, and cholesterol levels. Thus, if you are overweight or obese, you may need to seek medical help to lose weight as well as maintain it.

Weight loss should be done gradually and steadily as too rapid weight loss is bad for your health. It is recommended that you stick to dropping  1-2 pounds per week. You should keep in mind that weight loss is a marathon, not a sprint. You didn't gain all the weight overnight, so you can't expect to lose it overnight. Weight loss requires, hard work and patience.

Weight loss drugs and pills that promise overnight weight loss may not be able to do much for you because even if you lose the weight, you may not be able to keep it off for a long period.

Weight loss pills(if you must use them), must be used along with diets and exercise if not, the only thing that is going to get slimmer is your bank account because weight loss pills don't come cheap.

Anyone who has been successful with weight loss will tell you that the success doesn't come from gimmicks, it comes from lots of exercise and a complete change in diet. THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO GET IT DONE. Weight loss pills will not change the results of a poor diet, lack of physical exercise and any other negative lifestyle choices.

There is no magic pill, special powder or weight loss miracle. It takes a long, long time, effort, patience and determination. Moreover, weight loss pills could jeopardize your health and many of them contain dangerous substances that are not fully disclosed by the manufacturers.
